I believe in you.

That is my why. That is my purpose here, to tell you that I believe in you and to help you to see that belief within yourself.

I see the mountain in front of you. I know that it looks tall. I know that the way looks steep. I know that there are so many unknowns. That there will be times when the mists of darkness will surround you and its all you can do to put one step in front of another.

But, I know that even then, there is light. Even if it is one small star guiding your way. It is still there guiding you. I know that as you move one step forward, eventually it will become two, then three, then four and then so on. And then you will reach the top and be able to see more clearly the path that you took. The triumphs, the joys, the hopes and dreams and desires, the strength and the connection.

And let me tell you. That view is amazing.

I know that even after climbing this mountain that more mountains will come. But, those too you will climb and at times you will even find joy in the journey. Because that joy is all around us, if we but open our eyes.

I know this, because I know what it is like, to see that mountain in front of you and doubt whether or not you will make it. I know what it’s like to be surrounded by grief and pain, questioning my ability to succeed. I know what it’s like to be filled with fear, with anxiety. I know what it’s like to feel alone.

Yet, I also know that through it all, I was never alone.

I am not alone.

Just as you are not alone.

God is there, always there, leading, guiding. And He sends others to us to strengthen, comfort, and teach us. We are all so intricately woven together in ways that we do not entirely understand.

And I hope that you will allow me to be one of those who will help strengthen, comfort, and teach. I want to let you know about the things that will help you to climb those mountains, those tools that helped me and that continue to help me climb my own mountains. The tools that will help you through the mists that can blind you.

Those tools are the connections that you make. The connections with yourself, with God, with your family, and with others who are climbing those mountains themselves.

It is together that we will rise, mountain after mountain, together we will inspire each other to reach those dreams, to see those heights. And when we’ve reached the highest point, together we will fly.
I want you to know that you always have the potential, the capacity to achieve and to overcome. I want you to know that you are not alone. I want you to know that you are loved.

And I will do my best, to help you to see the potential that is within you.
